This project is one that we have been talking about and working on at Herbcraft for an incredibly long time, and it's now coming to glorious life! When one person has so much knowledge to pass on to the next generation, it's impossible to achieve on a 1:1 basis. Our passion has always been education over clinical practice... that is, teaching you how to develop an understanding of not just the herbs themselves, but how to grow them, make your own products, how to tune into your own body, your own spirit, and learn what holistic health looks like for you, in your own unique circumstances. We've been asked so often for courses, workshops and classes, so here is the beginning of that!

It's been a massive challenge too, working out how to structure the information, make it accessible, and engaging in a format that is interactive and user-friendly. We understand too, that people are at different levels in their spiritual journeys. We are not the font of all knowledge, and connection with a like-minded community is undeniably valuable also, especially for those who feel isolated.
​
As such, we are creating an interactive online community that incorporates connection with others, group study and sharing of knowledge, as well as the opportunity for 1:1 mentorship tailored to your herbal education and/or spiritual development. We truly hope you'll take advantage of this incredible opportunity to join this private community, accessible to anyone, anywhere, at all levels of learning.

Botanica Obscura Conference 2026

Prior to the development of the scientific medical establishment, the physical, emotional and spiritual health of the family, community and wider regions, was the responsibility of some form of spiritual leader. Call them witches, shamans, or witch doctors, either way, they had the ability to take raw plant material, and transform it into the exact preparation required for the current need of the community member.
Modern day herbal education has developed a significant imbalance, favouring the use of material dose in various formats for chemical constituents to act on the systems of the body. This method is certainly effective for physical ailments, and scientific measurement, but neglects to address the mental/emotional & spiritual aspects of our being. It also rules out many more toxic plants that do not find their optimum use in such a context.
In this presentation, we will investigate a number of alternative modalities, including aromatherapy, homeopathy, flower essences, and plant spirit work. What they are, what defines and differentiates them, and the basic tenets to which each modality holds. We will then discuss their traditional application, what are their strengths & weaknesses in practical use, and how they can complement each other to result in balanced healing of the physical and spiritual being, as well as greatly extending the value and breadth of application of each herb.

Herbcraft's newly released Sounds of Nature Playlist is a collection of recordings from locations all around Australia. These locations are selected by virtue of the natural auditory features they hold. Intended for relaxation and sound bathing, as white noise or meditation. Be transported to a different wonderous location with every recording. Our very first recording takes place at Herbcraft HQ, on an early morning in spring. A gathering of wild native birds in the southwest of Western Australia enjoying the first light of the day. Be transported to this serene bushland setting, where the birds are enjoying their natural surroundings... Witches Flying Salve - Datura & Amanita​​​
Herbcraft's Datura & Amanita Witches Flying Salve is based on recipe's of historical salves from prior to, and around the times of the Witch Trials. According to documents, their purpose was to allow witches to travel to the sabbath and have sex with the devil. Given the phsychotropic nature of the ingredients, it is more likely that this travel was done on the spiritual plane rather than the physical, in the form of lucid dreaming. The functionality of these salves however, is not limited to the spiritual realm. Our salve is also known to relieve nerve and muscle pain, and assist with sleep issues and insomnia.
The salve is produced from organically grown Datura stramonium, from Herbcraft's poison garden, along with organic Amanita muscaria, lovingly wildcrafted from a privately owned pine plantation in Nannup. These ingredients are infused in local olive oil, then fresh beeswax from our very own hives is added to form a rich, thick salve. Essential oils of benzoin & African wormwood complete the salve providing additional spritual properties and glorious earthy aroma.
